Lifestyle Photography for Cycling GPS Accessories

The Challenge

For the launch of the Karoo Elevation Series — a new range of customizable color shells for their Karoo GPS computer — Hammerhead needed lifestyle imagery that showed the device in genuine outdoor use. The brief asked for real riding conditions across varied situations, with all three shell colors represented. The shoot took place in late February in the Holmer Sandberge and Klövensteen area west of Hamburg, working across forest tracks, sandy open terrain, and gravel paths without a fixed route.

THE APPROACH

We moved between several locations across the day, looking for spots where the terrain, light, and device worked together naturally. We alternated between riding and shooting as the situation called for it. The shell colors were photographed in different contexts: mounted during a ride, handled at a stop, and placed off-bike. The day shifted between overcast forest light and warmer late afternoon sun, and we used both rather than waiting for one or the other.

The Outcome

Hammerhead received a set of lifestyle images covering all three Elevation Series shell colors across a range of situations and lighting conditions. The imagery is intended for use across their social media channels and website for the product launch, planned for mid-April 2025.

High-resolution files for web, print, and social. Full usage rights for marketing.

These images speak so well to the Hammerhead brand and really bring the Karoo and the color shells to life.
